Our whole team recently visited San Francisco and attended
a lecture by Anthony Robbins.

Drs.
Fisher and Navarro recently received the coveted SERA Award
(Special Education Recognition Award).
This special award honors members of our community who go above and beyond
in their commitment to the youths with special needs in our county.
The SERA awards promote special education for youth in the community.
Further, they recognize those individuals and organizations that
continuously give of their time, energy, and skills to help children in
our community with exceptional needs. This year’s theme “Making a
Difference”, emphasizes the transformational impact that these individuals
or companies are making in the community around us.
Drs. Fisher and Navarro are honored to receive this prestigious award and
reaffirm their life long commitment to serving those with special needs.

We
have opened a new state of the art, colorful office adjacent to our present
suite to accommodate our growing practice and serve our patients and parents
needs even better. We
even have TV’s on the ceiling for our
patient’s comfort and entertainment. They love
it!

Our whole team including our pediatric dentists as well as the staff also attended a three-day workshop in San Francisco so they can serve the areas of San Jose, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Saratoga and Milpitas even better! The featured speaker was the renowned
Anthony Robbins, an international speaker on personal growth and motivation.
Other speakers focused on customer service and the latest technical
advances.

We have also attended the ADA
meeting in San Francisco returning with many ideas on how to better serve
our patients and their parents.

Dr. Navarro has performed oral health screenings on over 1500 local school children in Milpitas, Cupertino, Saratoga, San Jose and Santa Clara areas in the past year. Congratulations Dr. Navarro on your strong commitment to community volunteering.

Dr. Fisher typically doubles the continuing education hours required by the Board of Dental Examiners for license renewal. As a childdren’s dentist, he has recently attended courses in oral sedation, the most efficient and safe use of fluoride, interpersonal communication, emergency dental trauma in children, pharmacology in pediatric dentistry and many others so that he can provide even better care for your children in Milpitas, Cupertino, Saratoga, San Jose and Santa Clara areas.

Dr. Fisher also contributes to several
foundations and organizations devoted to advancing dental education, helping
the underprivileged, supporting the troops, participating in give Our Kids A
Smile program (providing free dentistry to those in need)

Dr. Fisher has recently
lectured to members of the Santa Clara Dental Society, school nurses and
hygienist about prevention and treatment of Early Childhood Caries (Baby
Bottle Cavities) for the Save Our Kids Smile program. He has also
presented to parent nursery school groups.3

Dr. Navarro
consistently strives to educate herself in
the latest information and techniques that help improve the dental
well-being of her patients. She is always taking continuing education
courses that exceed the requirements by the Board of Dental Examiners for
license renewal. As a children’s dentist, she has recently attended
courses in oral sedation, sleep apnea, emergency dental trauma of
children, pharmacology in pediatric dentistry, communication skills and an
extensive comprehensive review of pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Navarro
also believes in giving back to the community by supporting several
foundations and organizations devoted to advancing dental education,
helping the underprivileged, participating in give Our Kids A Smile
program (providing free dentistry to those in need), and participating in
local charity runs (Lance Armstrong Live Strong and American Diabetes
Association Step Out)

Dr. Navarro
lectures to local general dentist in the South Bay on various topics in
pediatric dentistry including behavioral management, dental trauma,
nutrition, and baby bottle tooth decay. Dr. Navarro was also an assistant
clinical professor for the University of California San Francisco School
of Dentistry in which she taught dental students how to care and treat
children’s dental needs.
